Bill Sergot, CIC, AAI (Owner)
Working in the insurance industry since 1976, Bill is a co-owner of Itasca Reliable Insurance. He is a graduate of St. Cloud University and holds a B.S. degree
in business management and B.A.
degree in psychology.
Bill became a Certified Insurance Counselor in 1994 and is also an AAI: Accredited Advisor in Insurance Designation.
Bill and his wife Dianne have three grown children with whom they enjoy spending time. He also likes to travel, golf, hunt and take in the great outdoors in his downtime.
Dan began working in the insurance industry in 1994 and has a degree in business administration and a minor in marketing from Bemidji State University. Dan is a co-owner of Itasca Reliable Insurance. Dan is a Certified Insurance Counselor since 2008 and has his LUTC: Life Underwriting Training Counselor.
Dan feels fortunate to have grown up on a small resort on Pokegama Lake. He grew up enjoying hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and many other outdoor activities. He has two children, Bella and Gus, with his wife Denise.
Steve joined us in 2008 and became a Certified Insurance Counselor in 2013. He grew up in Grand Rapids and is a 1982 graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College. He then went on to attend graduate school at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
Steve and his wife, June, have two grown sons, Henry and Gordon. When he's not working, Steve enjoys hunting and fishing at his cabin with family and friends.
Bryan recently moved back to his hometown of Grand Rapids after working for a property/casualty insurance agency in Colorado. Prior to moving to Colorado, he worked as an underwriter for a large insurance carrier. Bryan earned his B.A. degree in Insurance from St. Cloud State University.
In his spare time, Bryan enjoys everything the lakes and woods have to offer with his wife, Danielle and dog, Blanche.
Diane began working at Itasca Reliable Insurance in 1986. She obtained her designation for Certified Insurance Service Representative in 1993 and a Certified Insurance Counselor in 1998. Over the past 30 years she has worked in a variety of insurance roles and is currently working in the Commercial Lines area, supporting the producers in servicing their clients.
Diane is married to Mark Dick and they have 2 sons and 2 grandsons. In her spare time, Diane enjoys spending time with family and friends and enjoys the outdoors and working on various home and garden projects.
Laura joined us in September of 2004, after earning her B.S. degree in office administration and B.A. in business administration from Bemidji State University in 1989, and her property and casualty insurance license in 2004. She also became a Certified Insurance Service Representative in 2007.
Laura keeps our office running smoothly by greeting and assisting customers as needed. She also handles our phone lines and the dispersal of emails and faxes, as well as a variety of other tasks at the front desk.
Laura has two grown children, Kelly and Jacob, and two granddaughters, Mileigh and Isabelle. She enjoys crafts, camping, bonfires and spending time with her husband Mike, friends and the rest of her family!
Kristen joined the Itasca Reliable team in January 2015 bringing with a professional background in business and advisement related roles. She earned her B.A. degree in Organizational Behavior from The College of St. Scholastica in 2006. Shortly after joining the agency, Kristen earned her Property and Casualty insurance license and is currently working towards obtaining her Certified Insurance Service Representative designation.
Kristen wears multiple hats within the agency, including servicing personal and commercial lines accounts and providing support with agency operations. She enjoys client interaction and keenly addressing and solving a wide array of personal and commercial account inquiries.
Outside of the agency, Kristen spends her time with family and friends, including husband, Mike, and two daughters, Ellsie and Emilia. She and her family are avid outdoor folks who enjoy all the Northern MN seasons and activities. One of Kristen’s favorite pastimes includes running year-round with her dog, Jack.
